A few quotes on Banking

”It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” ~ Henry Ford

”The few who can understand the ( international banking )  system will be so interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favours, that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of the people are mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that derives from the system, will bear its burdens without complaint, and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interest.” : (Letter written from London by the Rothschilds to their New  York agents introducing their banking method into America)

“The study of money, above all other fields in economics, is one in which complexity is used to disguise truth or to evade truth, not to reveal it. The process by which banks create money is so simple the mind is repelled. With something so important, a deeper mystery seems only decent.” ~  John Kenneth Galbraith writing in ‘Money: Whence it came, where it went’ (1975)

.“Money is a new form of slavery, and distinguishable from the old simply by the fact that it is impersonal – that there is no human relation between master and slave.”  ~ Leo Tolstoy

”When a government is dependent upon bankers for money, they and not the leaders of the government control the situation, since the hand that gives is above the hand that takes… Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain.” ~ Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France, 1815

”The modern theory of the perpetuation of debt has drenched the earth with blood, and crushes its inhabitants under burdens ever accumulating. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks. . . will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. . . the issuing power should be taken from the banks, and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”  ~ Thomas Jefferson

”History records that the moneychangers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent plans possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money, and its issuance.” ~ James Madison

”I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me, and causes me to tremble for the safety of our country. Corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people, until the wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the republic is destroyed. The Government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency, and credits needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government, and the buying power of consumers. By the adoption of these principles, the taxpayers will be saving immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master, and become the servant of humanity.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

”The money power preys on the nation in times of peace, and conspires against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces, as public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes.” ~ Abraham Lincoln, assassinated April 15, 1865.

”Today, just 3% of the money in the UK economy is the notes and coins printed by the Bank of England on behalf of the state. The other 97% ? It’s just numbers in computers, created by commercial banks through loans – and the vast majority of this isn’t going to small businesses, inventors, science and technology, or our public services – it’s going into the financial services sector and property. Worse, the property element isn’t going on an expanding home-owning class (home ownership has been in decline for two decades). It’s going to buy-to-let landlords and property speculators, meaning astronomical rises in the prices of homes, and rent.

This, coupled with an austerity programme by the Conservative government which actually cuts demand – people losing their jobs, wages and job security are less likely to spend – means another hit for the real economy.
Bottom line, if we don’t fix our dysfunctional banking system, we’re just bailing the water out of a sinking ship rather than actually building a ship that’s seaworthy.
Remove the power of commercial banks to create money from nothing. Money creation should be transparent and democratic, and delivered by a truly public institution.”
~ Positive Money

”The fraud persists, with often lethal results, because the people are tricked into believing that this is the way life is supposed to be and no alternative exists or should be dreamt of.

The same was true of two earlier systems of enslavement, Rule by Divine Right and Slavery, both systems built to trick people into obedience, and both now recognized by modern civilization as illegitimate.

Now we are entering a time in human history where we will recognize that rule by debt, or rule by Private Central Bankers issuing the public currency as a loan at interest, is equally illegitimate. It only works as long as people allow themselves to believe that this is the way life is supposed to be.”

”Those who charge usury are in the same position as those controlled by the Devil’s influence. This is because they claim that usury is the same as commerce. However, God permits commerce, and prohibits usury. Thus, whoever heeds this commandment from his Lord, and refrains from usury, he may keep his past earnings, and his judgment rests with God. As for those who persist in usury, they incur Hell, wherein they abide forever” ~ Al-Baqarah 2:275  (The Qu’ran)
” Lends at interest, and takes profit; shall he then live? He shall not live. He has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon himself.”~  Ezekiel 18:13

”Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers” ~ Matthew 21:12

The ‘prophets’ were correct about the Bankers.

But tragically, the legacy of the prophets has been hi-jacked by another bunch of shysters – the Churches, including the Vatican, perhaps the most pernicious thieves in history….
