I’ve come to the conclusion that Albert Einstein was a bit of a fraud all round. I am no mathematician, but ultimately (so I’ve read), E=mc2 is not so much a relationship between two distinct quantities as it is a statement of equivalence. The factor, c2, is simply a conversion factor, nothing more. In formulations most useful to theorists, c=1, so the equation becomes simply E=m. Energy and mass are the same, and the famous equation, ‘elegant’ though it may seem, is at best a mere tautology, or even worse, according to the authentic genius Nikola Tesla (see below), it is just plain wrong.
Having read somewhere that Einstein on his death-bed nominated ”Isis Unveiled’‘ by Madame Helena Blavatsky as his favourite book, and being myself hitherto unfamiliar with the writings of Madame B., the founder of the ‘Theosophical Movement’, I somewhat rashly decided to buy a copy of the book to check it out. It really is the most pretentious, nonsensical rubbish – (a sample here from the end of Chapter 5, which is as far as I got).

Tesla described Relativity as “a beggar wrapped in purple whom ignorant people take for a king.”
In support of his statement he cited a number of experiments he had conducted, he said, as far back as 1896 on the cosmic ray. He has measured cosmic ray velocities from Antarus, he said, which he found to be fifty times greater than the speed of light, thus demolishing, he contended, one of the basic pillars of the structure of relativity, according to which there can be no speed greater than that of light.

It turns out that Einstein’s real ”genius” was for self-aggrandizement and publicity.
